Some examples of education in our Health Services team are:
- As academic teaching units, the McMaster Family Health Team (MFHT) clinics are where the next generation of health care providers are trained and mentored. Health care students and family medicine residents gain most of their experience in our Department from hands-on, real world cases. They work directly with experienced health care providers, educators and researchers to make sure their training is world class.
- With so much training happening in our clinics, the Health Services team is also an active part of our Department’s Education team. We are always creating and testing new ways to train health care students. Our clinicians are often recognized for their innovative approach to medical education.
- Our clinics are interdisciplinary. This means we have a large team of health care providers including, but not limited to, family doctors. Each conversation is educational, as the people on our team have unique knowledge and training that can help their colleagues. You can learn more about our wide range of providers on the McMaster Family Health Team website.
