Stonechurch Family Health Centre (Hamilton) overview
Stonechurch Family Health Centre (SFHC) is a bustling and innovative family practice in the rapidly growing east Hamilton mountain community. As one of McMaster University’s original residency teaching units, we are proud of our well-established excellence in learner-centered education.
Our diverse patient population and experienced educators offer residents an appropriate balance between clinical learning and structured teaching sessions. Our inter-professional team includes physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered practical nurses, social workers, pharmacists, dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and system navigator, as well as in-house consultants: psychiatrists and a sports medicine specialist. Preceptors have a variety of areas of interest, including: obstetrics, women’s health, care of the elderly, mental health, procedures, palliative care, sports medicine, and dermatology.
