McMaster Family Practice (MFP) is a vital part of the new David Braley Health Sciences Centre located in the heart of Hamilton’s downtown core. This state of the art clinic provides exposure to a remarkably varied patient population and is within walking distance to all amenities: public transportation, shopping, restaurants, outdoor recreation and many local attractions.

Program Highlights

The clinic boasts staff physicians with diverse interests as well as a highly integrated inter-professional team including: nurse practitioners, registered practical nurses, social workers, clinical pharmacists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists, a dietitian, and visiting specialist physicians in psychiatry, palliative care, geriatrics and pediatrics. Preceptors have a variety of areas of interest, including: immigrant and refugee health, low risk family medicine obstetrics, HIV, health literacy and global health, and addictions medicine.
