Under the leadership of Dr. Gina Agarwal, the Community Paramedicine at Clinic (CP@clinic) program continues to demonstrate its impact beyond Canada through its successful expansion into Victoria, Australia.
A recent publication (August 2026) by the McMaster Community Paramedicine (MCP) Research Team examined the scale-up of CP@clinic in Australia using the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Framework for Going to Full Scale. The study documented implementation from 2022 to 2025 across 35 locations, involving 11 community paramedics, 676 participants, with 4,158 health risk factor actions taken. Findings highlighted the importance of assessing local context, building trust within communities, establishing strong communication networks, and planning for long-term sustainability to support successful program adoption and growth.
